Research Associate I or II Position:

At the SAM Lab, we value motivated team players to help progress our research projects which we believe improves the metabolic health and sleep quality of humans. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate clinical studies in the Sleep and Metabolism Laboratory at Colorado State University. This position will staff study visits (at all hours of the day and night); organize and maintain collected data; monitor laboratory supplies and equipment; assist with undergraduate training; perform preparation of samples for analysis; perform analysis of samples; and record and compile results of analysis. Duties include: 

  • Assess the needs of participants, follow flowsheet instructions. Obtain blood samples for testing and perform blood analysis, maintain communication with supervisor during a study visit.

  • Organize subject files and related study documents per FDA/GCP regulations. Enter and analyze data. Maintain organization of all subject data. Assist with abstract and manuscript preparation.

  • Utilizing scheduling and participant organization platforms to communicating with and schedule participants and lab members. Coordinate study visit coverage. Conduct study visits including informed consents.

  • Assist with the scheduling and training of undergraduate research volunteers

  • Organize, take stock, and inform the lab manager when supplies or supplies for equipment need to be ordered.
